Zoo Books For Kids

Zoo books are not just for kids, you would be suprised at how much we as adults learn about animals that we would never know if we did not have kids and therefore were not forced to teach them to read.

If you are a parent like me, you want to get your kid to be really passionate about reading at as early an age as is possible, am I right? It is important to share reading with them, and to read to them often, but it is also equally important to get into their passions. My kids – and I do not think that they are at all unusual in this – really like animals.

They can not get enough, no matter what type of critter it is. They even love the raccoons that are always trying to get into our garbage can and picking fights with our pet cat fluffy. That is why I get them zoo books magazines and books about animals.

My kids favorite is zoo books. Zoo books magazine is, as the name implies, a magazine about zoo animals, and it really drives the kids crazy. At first I was not so into the idea of zoo books.

I am kind of an English major of the old school, and I believe that it is important to get the kids to read longer, more difficult reads as early as possible, and zoo books really does not do all that much to try to challenge them.

But then a friend of mine who is a teacher pointed out something that should have been really obvious to me from the very beginning. You see, kids need not only to have challenging reads, but also to have easy reads as well to build up their comfort and their fluency with words. Zoo books is what might be called an easy read, and it is just the type of thing that is great for my kids to use to find more confidence in their reading.

And although zoo books, as well as many of the other animal books that my children read, is written at a pretty easy level for their age, it does help them to start to learn. Being able to read zoo books about animals is really helpful to the kids because it shows them that reading can be fun.

Kids who enjoy learning always do a whole lot better in schools than kids who think that it is dumb and boring, so if you can get them to really want to read and to feel good about the whole thing, then you will have a scholar on your hands a few years down the line.

But remember its not just about reading but reading stuff that is interesting to them at that age so they actually enjoy reading and want to read more and more. Zoo books are perfect for creating this desire to want to read more.
