2007's Best Flat Irons and Hair Straighteners

CurlytoStraight.com announces the winners of the very best 2007 hair straighteners.

The standards that were used to determine this "Best Of" list are; reliability, product features, customer reviews and customer support. This review will not talk about all of the classes of hair straightener available. Just higher quality products were reviewed and costs were not taken into account.

The following reviews are based solely on features, the feed back of customers and product quality. This won't consider cost.

1) The FHI Runway Series - This line of hair straightener is hands down the finest on the market. The FHI Runway Series has each and every innovative feature; damp-or-dry styling, lightening fast heat time, 450F max temp, revolutionary heating plates, adjustable heat and the most dependable plate heating of any product out there. The Runway models also have the best consumer feed back of all the products we reviewed. If you want the best hair straighteners on the market this is certainly it, and they are pricey. These Irons sell for about $400.

Is it really worth the money? Yes, if you can afford the price.

2) The FHI Platform Series - As a leader in the development of tourmaline integration and ceramic plating, FHI's Platform series offers a first-class straightener at a less expensive price. Available for purchase in multiple sizes, the FHI Platform series offers ultra flash heat times, adjustable temperature, PTFC ceramic heat plates and 450F max heat. While these items are more affordable than the Runway series, it's important to note that they're still on the expensive side at about $150 - $200.

3) CHI Pink Series - The trendy pink straightener provides consumers the best reliability and performance of any flat iron in the Farouk CHI line. Ceramic plates, temperature control, and flash heat times combined with a comfortable and ergonomical handle make the CHI hair straighteners a great option for those that want the most from their hair.

4) T3 Wet-or-Dry - In actuality, this hair straightener ranked above the CHI Pink series as far as product features are concerned, but it was knocked to the fourth space because customers have had difficulties with warranty returns. Aside from that, this model provides a sound ceramic design.

5) CHI Turbo Series - The Turbo series takes fifth place in our review of flat irons. This flat iron line is used by more hair professionals than any of the other models. And while its maximum temperature and flash heating are not as good as the CHI Pink, this is a great choice for those who want top-notch performance and dependability.

Honorable Mention

Although our 2007 straightener review features the cream of the crop, there are many other quality, professionally designed straighteners and flat irons on the market. The following are a few:

GHD Hair Straighteners - A great product with a sleek design that integrates an assortment of innovative features makes the GHD straighteners a great choice.

HAI Hair Straightener|Flat Iron - HAI hair straighteners have a couple of high quality offerings at reasonable prices; the Nu Stik and the Convertible.

FHI Flat Iron|Hair Straightener - The FHI Technique series offers a Best in Class product for the more traditional models. The FHI ceramic flat iron is an excellent product with a number of of the new millennium technologies.

*One of the more well known models available, the sedu hair straighteners, was not reviewed because of the exclusive, non-competitive online distribution agreement and what seems to be misleading sales practices.
